Introduction

How M2Guard client anti-cheat works

M2Guard is a Metin2 anti-cheat solution that runs only on the player client. It does not touch your game server files or game core source; protection is added externally on the client to block cheats and unauthorized tampering.

Client protection without editing game files

M2Guard cheat protection does not modify your server source files and does not interfere with in-game server mechanics. Everything runs on the player’s Metin2 client: memory inject, cheat processes, modified packs, HWID spoofing, and similar external threats are stopped there.

There is no server-side packet firewall, rubberband, or attack-speed module - the product is fully client-focused.

IP, HWID, and file protection (client)

On client launch, file integrity (hash) checks make it harder for tampered packs to enter the game. HWID binding (motherboard ID, RAM ID, IPv4, IPv6) matches ban-evasion attempts on the client. VPN/proxy suspicion is also evaluated on the client before connection - you do not need a separate server firewall.

Setup and panel

Integration takes a few minutes. Manage bans, warnings, and whitelists from the customer panel; optional Discord webhook alerts. You do not need to rewrite Metin2 private server files for anti-cheat.

What problems does the client solve?

Common private-server searches for speed hack, wall hack, farm bot, DLL inject, multi client, and HWID spoofer scenarios are all targeted by client modules. Modules can be toggled from the panel.
