Client Protections

Client file integrity scan

Modified pack or DLL files often carry cheats. M2Guard compares player files to your reference hash list before the game opens.

Hash list (server owner)

Fingerprints are created for critical paths after a clean client + patcher. When you publish a new pack, update the hash list in the panel or legitimate players may get warnings. This does not change server game files - only the client verification list.

What happens for players?

Mismatched files block client launch; the player sees an integrity warning. Tampered packs reduce risk of wall hack or hidden menus.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this page and short answers.

No. Scanning is for Metin2 client files on the player PC; CH or db files are not touched.

Refresh the hash list for the new pack in the panel and notify players.
